Shauna Hancock Yoga Long Beach

Shauna Hancock: Yoga Instructor

"Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul, create the symphony of life." -B.K.S Iyengar

Shauna has always felt drawn to connecting spiritually within herself, but she did not have the language to further her connection. Yoga created that language for her. In 2009 after taking the first Yoga class, Shauna was instantly drawn to the connection it brought to her mind and body. In January of 2013, she was humbled into fulfilling her passion of becoming a Classical Hatha Yoga teacher. Through her practice and teaching her daughter Yoga, Shauna discovered just how beneficial Yoga could be for children too. She then decided to become a registered children's Yoga teacher as well. Shauna goes into every class hoping to learn from the unique collective energy each class brings. The connection of breath and movement creates endless possibilities, and Shauna hopes to guide others through the evolution of their own practice. Shauna is a 200HR RYT, 95HR RCYT and Holistic Health advocate.

Eve del Rosario: Yoga Instructor

After reading articles about yoga for a couple of years in Yoga Journal, Eve realized it would probably benefit her more if she practiced it. She bought a yoga mat and took her newfound epiphany to a yoga class. From that first class on she became aware of how yoga transforms, heals, opens, connects the body with the mind, and inspires the spirit.

Eve completed her 200 hour Teacher Training through Yoga Works in Orange County, CA, in the summer of 2011; her teachers were Kori Strobl and Casey Coda. She also completed her 300 hour Teacher Training through Yoga Works, Orange County, in April 2015; her mentor teacher was Jennie Jalalat. Her initial intention was to deepen her own practice, but realized (another epiphany) that it would be an honor if she can help others by guiding them through their own yoga practice. In Albert Einstein’s words, “Only a life lived in the service to others is worth living,” and teaching yoga to others - Eve feels - will hopefully aid those to find more awareness within and reach their authentic selves.
